Forum 3: Audio Story Components
Topic Introduction
My audio topic is inspired by the question, why are people driving fast than considered reckless and people driving slower than you considered annoying? I plan to center my audio topic around the idea of qualities make a driver good or bad.
Character and Experts
Already in my audio story I utilized on of my friends who talked about time where she found her self in what she thought was a dangerous situtation with her friend. Her friend didn't think he was being dangerous or reckless but her and her other friends in the car thought he was. For the expert that I would like to use are the people that determine if someone is driving dangerously. I plan on utilizing the High Point University security officers to get their opinion on when they think they should pull someone over. Then I was going to do some research on what they teach in drivers education courses to understand the standard. Finally, I am going to get the opinions of friends on campus of what they consider to be a good driver.
Background/Transition/Intro/Outro Music
For this track I plan on opening the podcast. I chose this track because it reminded me on a band on the road playing their guitar on the bus driving to another venue. Since my topic is about driving I though this track would be a great way to have them get into the mind set of my on audio story.
For my next track, I would like to utilize this as transition music from one idea to another. This track reminds me of what you hear when you are traveling in an elevator going from one floor to the next. The purpose of an elevator is to get you from one destination to the next. This thought inspired me because transition music is used to get to from one thought to the next.
I choose this track as my outro music because for the first twenty seconds of the track the beat is upbeat, happy, and something that I think you would find at the end of a movie. This is the kind of note I want to end on with my podcast. Also the title of the track is "Goodbye and Thank You" which I think is fitting.
